FUTURES & EDGE PROGRAMS

In these weight room strength & power programs, participants can choose from our FUTURES program (grades 8,9,10) and our EDGE CO-ED program.

Registration for summer 2026 is open. Programs start July 7.

BOYS FUTURES PROGRAM

In this weight room strength & power program, male participants ~13-16 years old refine and intensify fundamental movement skills and movement adaptability in different scenarios. A focus on mobility of the hips and ankles is critical for male adolescents as well as neck strength. Athletes will improve work capacity at the tissue level through barbell complexes, deep tier plyometrics and challenging combative partner drills. They will also improve ankle and foot stiffness with specific plyometrics which sets the stage for improved speed.

CO-ED EDGE PROGRAM

THE EDGE is YAD’s advanced summer development program for athletes 16+ who are ready for higher-performance training. Designed for grade 11, grade 12, and college athletes, this program emphasizes strength, power, speed, resilience, and true athletic development — not random conditioning. Built and coached by experienced performance professionals who understand that older athletes require more individualized progression, higher training intent, and preparation for the demands of competitive sport.
